We at Fritid Hisingen are looking for employees for the position of youth guide.

We are a modern leisure activity that works to enable children and young people living in Hisingen to have an active and enriching leisure time. We have various activities, different target groups, and offer a wide range of activities tailored to the interests of young people. With us, children and young people from different social classes and cultures meet. We focus on influence and participation, informal learning, and ensuring that everyone has equal opportunities regardless of where they come from and who they are. We work according to KEKS methods, including youth-produced activities.

At Tuve youth center, there is great potential for creative activities as we have two different studios, a ceramics workshop, a sewing studio, a podcast room, etc. You have significant opportunities to influence how your position will be shaped based on needs and available resources.

Scheduled day/weekend and evening shifts are included in the position.

The position is permanent, and we are looking for 1 - 2 employees, subject to necessary decisions being made.

Qualifications

You have a leisure leader education or another post-secondary education that the employer assesses as equivalent. The focus is on a promoting perspective, and you are used to communicating at different levels.

You enjoy working with children and young people, and you inspire and support youth to engage, take responsibility, and implement initiatives. You have a strong self-perception and feel confident in helping young people who may sometimes require patience.

You are a reliable adult who is social and outgoing, easily able to talk to and inspire children and young people to want to participate and take responsibility. You have good collaboration skills and are attentive and solution-focused to achieve results. The position also places high demands on the ability to communicate with people to jointly develop working methods.

About us

The Social Administration Hisingen is part of the social services in the City of Gothenburg. We are one of four social administrations. We work purposefully to create a better everyday life for the residents of Hisingen.

We offer support in individual and family care, social emergency services, assistance with substance abuse, and integration issues. We also work with leisure activities and preventive work, such as public health initiatives, community planning, local safety work, and integration issues.
